The meaning of Shringaaram

Shringaar is the act of adorning — of dressing the one you love with care, so that the eye rests on them and the heart softens. In the mandir it is not decoration. It is a conversation. Every fold of cloth, every stone set in a mukut, is a way of saying what words cannot.

SHRINGAARAM exists for that conversation. We make the things your hands reach for at the start of the day, and we try to make them worthy of the moment they are used in.

What we make

Poshak for every season — light cotton for the summer months, fleece-lined wool when the mornings turn cold, and silk with gota and zari for the festivals. Alongside them, the pieces that complete the shringar: mor mukut, bansuri, haar, jhula, singhasan, and the thali you carry to the altar each morning.

How it is made

Each piece is cut and stitched by hand. Seams are finished on the inside so nothing rough ever touches the thakur ji. Borders are laid flat and sewn down rather than glued, because glue gives way and thread does not.

This is slow work, and deliberately so. Sewa is not something you rush.
